I have spent over 450 days exploring our oceans using deep-submergence technologies and a further 80 days offshore conducting ecological surveys, both 12hr and 24hr operations, around the coast of the UK.

2010 - RRS James Cook JC042

(Credit NOC) Science Participant Southern Ocean - 6 weeks East Scotia Ridge, vents seeps and whales falls - the cruise that started it all! This was the first expedition of my PhD, my first time on a scientific research vessel and, my first time working with an ROV. Mind blown.
